Q&As

All about our ski school in Pfunds - Nauders am Reschenpass

What ski resorts do you teach in?

Pfunds lies in the middle of the large ski resorts Nauders, Schöneben, Samnaun/Ischgl and Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. Our ski school headquarters is in the village centre of Pfunds.

Group courses always take place in Nauders. You may book private courses for the ski resort of your choice.

Please note: Half-day courses and private beginner courses are only possible in Nauders and Schöneben – in all other ski resorts, we only offer full-day courses and courses for experienced skiers. Minimum requirement: Turning in plough position on blue pistes and controlled braking.

Which level should I sign my child up for?

When booking a course, you’ll find the videos as a guide under the point “Choosing a level”.

Is the ski pass included in the ski course?

No. Ski passes must be purchased separately at the corresponding ticket offices. Even as a beginner, you need a ski pass.

From what age can children attend a ski course?

We teach children aged 5 and older, since we do not have a children’s area. For younger children, we recommend a ski school with “bambini” courses.

Is advance booking required?

Yes, we definitely recommend this. In general, the rule is: the earlier the better.

Do you also offer lunchtime activities?

We do not provide a supervised lunch break. We therefore ask that you organise the break between 12:00 and 13:00 with your kids yourself.

What happens if I’m ill or my child is ill?

In the event of illness, we request that you provide us with a doctor’s note so that we may refund you the costs of the course.

Where can I get the appropriate equipment?

At our shop in Pfunds, you’ll find the right equipment for your ski, snowboard or cross-country experience. You’re also welcome to book your rental gear directly online.

What language is spoken in the ski course?

All our instructors speak German, English and of course Tyrolean.

How will I recognise my ski instructors?

Our ski instructors wear a white jacket and red trousers.

Do we need to stop by the shop again before the ski course?

If you’re not picking the equipment up with us at the shop and have already paid for everything online, we can also have the final chat by phone. Give us a call the day before to make sure everyone is clear on the details. In general, however, we’re always very happy to welcome you in person and get to know you.

Do you also offer package prices (ski course + rental)?

No. As a general principle, ski courses and rental must be booked separately. Since we truly place great value on quality in our courses (small groups and highly trained ski instructors), there is no package discount for the ski course.

However, if you book online in advance, you’ll get a great early bird discount.
